For those of you who have a habit of leaving your Christmas prezzies to the last minute, we wanted to make you aware of our final order dates for guaranteed delivery in time for Christmas...  

Any orders received after these dates we'll still do our best to get them to you in time, but we can't guarantee they will arrive by the 25th December. As our elves are a little busier at this time of year, we might take a little more time processing and dispatching your order, so please allow for an extra day or two for your popcorn to arrive. If you have any special requirements then please do get in touch and we'll do our best to help!

Happy Birthday to Us! An interview with Joseph

To celebrate our 9th Birthday, our co-founder Adam caught up with his dad and fellow co-founder Joseph for a Q &A session.  

When did you first think Joe & Seph's could really take off? 

Back in 2010, when after months of burnt pans and late-night tasting sessions in the family kitchen we took our first four gourmet popcorn flavours to a food show and sold out in just two days. It was then that I first thought we had been lucky enough to create something really special. Shortly after we achieved our first prestigious retail listing and Joe & Seph's was officially born! Today we now have over 50 flavours of gourmet popcorn and caramel sauces and I'm so proud to have won 49 Great Taste Awards and officially be the best-tasting popcorn brand! 

What was your inspiration for launching a gourmet popcorn brand? 

My love for popcorn began while taking regular business trips to the USA. I would always bring back popcorn for our friends and family who were amazed at the diverse flavours that I found. At the time, popcorn in the UK was either sweet or salty. Realising that there was nothing quite like this in the UK, I wondered if I could make my own flavoured popcorn, but even better. I began experimenting at home and making popcorn for family and friends which I quickly became a passion of mine. 

What do you think makes our gourmet popcorn so different? 

Our popcorn is designed for taste adventurers and food lovers, we focus on high-quality, 100% natural ingredients, putting the taste and quality of our popcorn above everything else! Our flavour range is immense, encompassing sweet, savoury and traditional but always with a focus on innovation. From Salted Caramel, Gin & Tonic and Goat’s Cheese & Black Pepper to Marmite and even Cheese on Toast - there is a variety to suit every mood or taste! I have so much fun experimenting in our kitchens trying to create exciting and unexpected flavours for our fellow popcorn fans to enjoy!

What is your favourite flavour?

It is so hard to pick a favourite! Of course, our Salted Caramel is in the top 10 but I really love our Caramel, Pepper & Chilli Popcorn. We use a unique flavour sequencing technique which unlocks the different tastes at different intervals- you get caramel, then black pepper and finally a fiery chilli kick in 7 seconds, one after the other! Another favourite is our newest innovation our Chocolate Popcorn Bites! It took me over 2 years of expermineting in the kitchen to develop and I am so happy with the all the wonderful feedback we have recieved from customers! It isn’t like anything you have tried before; you get a lovely hit of decadent chocolate and a very satisfying popcorn crunch! It also just won a Great Taste Award!

Our range is so diverse, how do you come up with new flavour combinations?

I am a bit of a foodie, so I love travelling, cooking and going to restaurants. Whenever I try a new food, I always think about how I can recreate the experience on popcorn or in a caramel sauce. We also have a lot of loyal customers who have been with us since the start and suggest flavours that they love too!

Tell us something popcorn related that most people don't know. 

We use a unique variety of extra-large popcorn kernels, called mushroom kernels, which gives our popcorn its round shape and when air-popped its fluffy, light texture! They also allow each of our kernels to be evenly coated in caramel and prevent less mess, as the pieces don’t fall apart as much.

Introducing our Vegan Range!

LAUNCHING THE UK’S FIRST VEGAN CARAMEL POPCORN RANGE, IN TIME FOR WORLD VEGAN DAY

We are delighted to launch a brand new vegan range with all the indulgent, caramel goodness of our core collection. For years we have had requests to make a vegan alternative to our traditional caramel flavours; we've worked hard to create an equally delicious vegan range for our our loyal fans that have special dietary requirements and don't want to compromise on taste!

Three new additions will be joining our cult classics, in both sharing pouch and snack pack form: Vegan Salted Caramel, our signature flavour is recreated using a moreish vegan caramel, the perfect combination of sweetness and salt; Vegan Toffee Apple & Cinnamon, a vegan take on one of our most popular flavours, it’s a devilishly tasty treat, with an enticing cinnamon aroma, reminiscent of the classic autumnal treat; Vegan Coconut & Cacao, an all-new flavour, especially created for ourvegan audience, expect an exotic coconut crunch with a delightfully creamy, chocolate-y finish.

And the winners are… Great Taste Awards 2019!

We are thrilled to accounce that we have new products joining our collection of Great Taste Award winners! Taking our total to 49 award-winning products, we are absoloutely thrilled to have so many wonderful products recognised by the Guild of Fine Food!

Our Caramelised Ginger & Lemongrass Popcorn won an amazing 2-star award! Created in collaboration with renowne Michelin starred father and son duo Michel and Alain Roux, this popcorn is perfect for a summer picnic or after dinner snack. After launching last year, our Espresso Martini Caramel Sauce has been a popular addition to our caramel sauce range and has now won a 2-star Great Taste Award! This caramel saude is made wih the finest coffee liqueur and vodka to create that authentic espresso martini taste!

We also won some new 1-star awards! Among the winners is our new Milk Chocolate Popcorn Bites, combining our best-selling Salted Caramel Popcorn with an indulgent chocolate cup! We are so proud that our hard work has paid off! Another 1-star winner is our Gin & Tonic Popcorn, made with our smooth caramel and 5% real London dry gin and 5% real tonic, the world’s first alcoholic popcorn! British Summer Time 2019

We've had a marvellous time at British Summer Time festival over the last two weeks in Hyde Park! Serving up our award-winning Gourmet Popcorn and Chocolate Popcorn Bites, whilst taking in the electric atmosphere in Hyde Park and enjoying wonderful performances from Robbie Williams, Barbara Streisand, Stevie Wonder and many more! 

A massive thank you to everyone that POPPED by our stand - it was terrific to meet so many fellow popcorn lovers!

Taste of London 2019

We had an a-MAIZE-ing time at Taste of London in Regent’s Park last week and were thrilled to see so many popcorn lovers on our stand trying our gourmet treats! We sampled over 20 flavours of gourmet popcorn, over 8 flavours of caramel sauces and our Chocolate Popcorn Bites!

London clearly has a wealth of Popcorn Connoisseurs, as so many of you managed to successfully identify the four mystery popcorn flavours in our Taste Test Challenge!

A huge well done to our terrific winner Sorrel Bywater, who completed the challenge in an incredible 39 seconds!

Marvellous news... we're on the hunt for a Marketing Intern!

Joe & Seph's are shaking up the snack category one kernel at a time with award winning popcorn and caramel sauces (41 Great Taste Awards, Grocer Gold Award and many others) and after a huge year of growth and exciting new product launch, we are looking for a new superstar to join the team! 

We’re now on the hunt for a talented marketing intern to join our small but mighty marketing team and help us build our brand with key influencers, opinion formers and customers.

This a great internship opportunity for someone who wants to gain valuable experience in marketing and join fun team of 10, in Staples Cross in North West London. 

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

We want someone energetic, engaging and confident. You don't need tons of experience, but you do need to be highly motivated and super organised.  Must be passionate about marketing with an interest in Food & Drink Brands.

THE ROLE

Your role will be really varied, and no day will be the same. You'll be helping us with: 

Social media (online community)

·         Reactively and proactively engaging with consumers across our online social media channels every day (combined following of over 50k).

·         Supporting our Marketing Executive with scheduling engaging content

·         Supporting our Marketing Executive with weekly reporting and campaign summaries

PR

·         Working with our PR agency to keep on top of all PR samples

·         Helping to plan and execute influencer and press drops.

Customer service

·         Managing the general enquiries inbox

·         Being the first point of contact for all incoming marketing enquiries

Events

·         Assisting with the delivery of marketing events, including Taste of London (consumer show)

·         Organising and maintaining the inventory of marketing assets

Sampling & Merchandising

·         Act as Brand Ambassador to run our in store samplings

·         Bi Monthly visits to merchandise and maintain marketing materials in stores

·         Weekly calls to stores to ensure that product in on shelf

·         Assist the Sales Team with additional samplings in their key accounts and sales database management

·         Recruit and maintain a team of London based- Brand Ambassadors

Office admin

·         Help the team to keep the office organised

·         Ad hoc tasks to help the team

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

·         A team player - we're a small team and we need someone who is willing to get stuck in

·         Good verbal and written skills – Ability to write engaging copy and communicate our brand messages at events and samplings

·         Confidence - you need to be able to approach and talk with a broad range of people

·         A self-starter - you need to be highly motivated with a good eye for opportunities

·         Top notch organisational and multi-tasking skills - you will need to be able to juggle a wide range of different tasks at the same time

·         Creativity - we're looking for someone who can come up with ideas and try them out!

You'll join a small team where you'll truly be able to make your mark. We'll give you the opportunity to fully get stuck in and the opportunity to step up and lead on your ideas.
