Begin by prepping the apple by washing them and cutting into cubes – we like to keep the skin on!
Add your oats and water to a small saucepan, bring to the boil then reduce to a simmer for 4-5 minutes.
Whilst the oats are cooking, heat the oil in a small frying pan on a medium heat. When hot, add the apple, cooking for 2-3 minutes before adding the cinnamon and nutmeg. The apples will begin to caramelise, add a teaspoon of water if they begin to stick!
In the saucepan, stir in your protein powder of choice and cook for a further 1-2 minutes, adding more water if needed. Turning the heat off when at your desired porridge texture – we like it thick!
Once everything is cooked, its assembly time! Add your oats to a bowl and stir in half of the apple cubes. Next, on to toppings! We went for the remainder of the cinnamon apple, a teaspoon of our Toffee Apple & Cinnamon Caramel Sauce, as well as a handful of our Toffee Apple & Cinnamon Gourmet Popcorn for the ultimate fruity and smooth bowl!
